A second attempt to build something within the Vindex universe. This time the visual novel acts as the connective tissue between missions in a tactical, strategic framework.
Story
Similar in spirit to the original novel, but now the player also unlocks separate story branches — sets of 2–3 missions focused on a specific character — deepening the cast and their arcs.
Gameplay
A turn-based strategy where each mission begins by assembling a squad from the novel's characters. Some are mandatory, others recommended by the game; levels are challenging but never force a single playstyle.
Character Abilities
- Raul — enhanced stealth, ideal for flanking and quiet approaches.
- Theo — a long-range rifle specialist whose accuracy drops sharply in close quarters (lots of corners? Tough luck).
- Gadgets — jammers, grenades and other tools issued to the squad in limited amounts.
Hit Chance & Luck
Choices matter, but so do your actions… and luck. Hit chances are displayed Fallout-style, calculated from distance, weapon type, the enemy's level of cover, and certain enemy stats — so positioning and target priority are everything.
Tactical depth where preparation, positioning and a little luck all decide the outcome.
